Firstly, I’m not a tattoo artist. However, because my art and illustration style is perfect for tattoos, I often get enquiries about them. On this page you can find information on:
・How to obtain a license to have one of my drawings tattooed
・How to commission me to design you a tattoo
・My collaboration with Melbourne tattooist, Amy Unalome
License to Tattoo my Drawings
If you would like to get one of my drawings tattooed, please purchase a tattoo hug for permission to use the drawing. One Tattoo Hug purchase is required for each drawing/design of mine you get tattooed.
Please don’t get a tattoo or give a tattoo of my drawings without my permission. Please support independent creatives, and respect that we share our personal artwork for viewing online, not to take for free. Creativity is how we put food on the table and to steal our art is theft of our livelihood.
Once you purchase the tattoo hug, you can take it to your chosen tattooist and they will trace and ink it for you. Because the tattooist isn’t creating the art themselves, they should offer you a cheaper rate than if you had commissioned them to design something for you. This cheaper rate should help you justify paying a small fee to the creator of the original art work.
I realise there will still be those who will get their dodgey tattooist to ink my drawings without permission, but I encourage you to do the right thing. Good karma tattoos are the best kind of tattoos after all! Thank you! X
